Care Companion Programs

Because no one should have to navigate cancer alone.

Wellness Bridge Foundation's Care Companion Program, Sisters Helping Sisters, provides personalized, nonmedical support to women navigating cancer.

Through meaningful relationships, practical assistance, and compassionate advocacy, we help patients feel supported, informed, and connected throughout treatment and recovery.

How Our Care Companions Walk With You

From home to hospital and every step in between, our Care Companions provide a consistent, compassionate presence when it matters most.

We provide scheduled home visits to offer encouragement, companionship, emotional support, and a caring presence during treatment and recovery.

During hospital stays, Care Companions offer comfort, encouragement, and a familiar, supportive presence. We also help patients stay connected to our support services as they prepare to return home.

Companionship During
Treatment

No  one should have to sit through chemotherapy  or other treatments alone. Care Companions are assigned to accompany patients to oncology appointments and remain beside them during treatment, offering conversation, reassurance, and encouragement.

We help patients prepare questions, communicate concerns, understand treatment recommendations, and connect with their oncology team. Our goal is to help every patient feel heard, respected, and empowered to participate in decisions about her care.

More Than Companionship.
A Circle of Support

Our Care Companions are part of Wellness Bridge Foundation's broader network of supportive care services. When needs extend beyond companionship, we help connect patients with transportation assistance, nutritious meals, care navigation, and community resources.
