YOUTH ARTS & THERAPY
Healing Stages: Theater & Therapy for Children & Youth Impacted by Cancer
Where Expression Meets Healing
Healing Stages is a signature youth program designed for children and teens ages 6–17 who have been impacted by a parent’s or caregiver’s cancer journey. Through the power of theater, creative writing, and expressive arts therapy, Healing Stages provides a safe and empowering space for young people to process complex emotions, build resilience, and connect with others who understand their experience.
Whether a child is navigating a loved one’s diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, or loss, our stage becomes a place of comfort, courage, and connection.
Our Approach to Healing
Drama & Arts Therapy Sessions
Led by licensed mental health professionals and teaching artists, participants engage in improvisation, storytelling, movement, and character exploration to safely express their emotions and experiences.
Script Writing & Storytelling
Children and teens develop their own narratives—drawing from their real-life journeys—to co-create powerful, healing scripts.
Live & Virtual Performances
Each cycle concludes with a performance or showcase, allowing participants to share their stories with pride, whether on stage or online.
Group Discussions & Reflection
Every session includes intentional space for guided conversations, helping youth feel seen, heard, and emotionally supported.
